2H High DPS Build for Darkrunner

In the arenas, the Darkrunner maintains its strength and excels with its burst damage and mobility, making it one of the best and most feared classes in 1v1.

You need to always stay within range of your mobility skills like Charge and Shadow Step, and be careful not to waste your key buffs, such as Freerunner, Frenzy, and Battle Focus.

vs DARKRUNNERS

Against other Darkrunners, it’s mainly a battle of parries and shackles. Focus on interrupting their key abilities and be mindful of their skill cooldowns.

vs HEALERS

Against Healers (Argent, Paladin, Templar, etc.), you need to attack as much as possible and be cautious when they cast healing skills. Try to interrupt these with knockdowns, and you can also use Leech to interrupt their casts. In this build, I haven't included Stalker's Mark, but it would be useful to reduce their healing effectiveness.

vs TANKS

Against Tanks (like Blighter, Abolisher, etc.), it's a bit more complicated. Their Redoubt will render you ineffective for 20 seconds. During this time, you need to make use of your mobility by either running or hiding yourself with Stealth. You can also try using Leech to gain a few extra seconds.

vs MAGES

Against Mages (Daggerspell, Arcanist, Witchcraft, etc.), Frenzy is your friend. You just need to dodge Banshee Wail, then run around the enemy and knock them down.

vs ARCHERS

Against Archers (Primeval, Stone Arrow, etc.), you need to stay close. Fortunately, you have great mobility, so this isn’t a problem, even if your enemy is a Primeval.

Against StoneArrows, you need to play as if you’re facing a tank because they use Redoubt too. You can try using Leech before your enemy does.

The Darkrunner can be played in different ways depending on the situation. For example, in mass PvP, you're the assassin!

Thanks to its great mobility, you can slip quickly through enemy lines and take down healers and mages.
The basic skills you need to use in these situations are:
Teleportation, Drop Back, Shadow Step, Charge, Tiger Strike, Behind Enemy Lines and Stealth.

Be careful, Darkrunner is a powerful DD class, but its defense isn't very strong. For this reason, you need to play evasively by using Stealth, Drop Back, and Tiger Strike to confuse enemies.

This guide focuses on the 2H Nodachi weapon, but you can use almost any melee weapon at endgame, depending on the situation and who you're facing.

I recommend using the Nodachi Ayanad for its quick burst damage. However, the Obsidian Greatsword is also a good choice for its critical damage boost.
